Kenton Murray, Ph.D. is a Computer Science Research Scientist with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML). He is currently pursuing his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Kenton has extensive experience in the tech industry as an Engineer for Microsoft, Lighter Capital, and Safaba Translation Solutions. Kenton's research interests include improving computers' understanding of human languages using statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. He has worked extensively with Probabilistic Graphical Models and Topics Models and has done work on Automatic Question Answering, Automatic Essay Grading, Automatic Text Summarization, and Collaborative Filtering. Kenton has also worked on Arabic language technologies and machine translation during his time at the Qatar Computing Research Institute. Kenton has a Master's Degree in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Princeton University's School of Engineering. He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and as a Research Intern at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
